Praying for the Church In Iran

It is becoming obvious that God is doing something amazing in the Church in Iran.  It is exploding. with an annual growth rate of new converts of around 20 percent.  Even though their is great persecution and threat from the Shiate Islamic government, there are reports of Christians facing the troubles with great joy.   Jesus has been appearing to the Iranian people in dreams and visions and he is multiplying his church.

We want to pour some gasoline on this fire the Holy Spirit has started with our prayers.   We are thanking God for what he is doing there and asking that he continues.  We are praying that our brothers and sisters in Iran will be bold and preach jJesus.  

We are believing God for their saftey, their joy, and that they grow into maturity in Christ.

Thanksgiving for Provision

We move into the last of our Thanksgiving themed prayer sets.   In this prayer session, we Praise God and Thank him for provision.   He may not always give us what we want, but hw is faithful to provide for our needs and we want to Thank him for that.   Whether is the is water we drink, the food we eath, the clothes on our back, the roof over our head or our health,  God is faithful to give us what we need.

Thanksgiving for Salvation

Sometimes it is good to stop, reflect and give thanks to our God.   This is Thanksgiving week in the United States.  While it was set up as a time to give thanks to God for his provision.  We are reflecting on God's most important provision for us - his salvation.   We were sinners and he loved us.  We deserved punishment, but he extended grace and eternal life to us though the shed blood of his son, Jesus Christ..  So this is what we are reflecting on in this podcast

Prayer for the Ability to Give Thanks in the Hard Times

In the United States this is Thanksgiving week.  If you are doing well, it may be easy to give Thanks?  But what if you are suffering, or you are in hard or difficult situation that you don't like or enjoy. The Word of God is clear.  We are still to Give thanks in that situation and even for that situation.  That is hard to do.   I submit that in our flesh that's not going to happen,.  It will take a work of the Spirity.  But it isdoable or we would not have been told to Give thatks for all things and In all things.   This prayer session is to help us get our mind focused on the long view - on eternity and what God is doing even in the tough times.   We ask the Holu Spirt for help and wisdom so we can truly give Thanks for difficulties knowing that God is at work and he has a great plan for us.  We may not see it until eternity, but we will see it becaus he is faithful.

Praying for the Lost

Regardless of what our specific calling is in the Kingdom of God, we all share the same commission that Jesus gave - to go into the World and Preach the Gospel to every creature.   The World needs Jesus more than ever.  People we know will die and face eternity seperated from God if someone doesn't preach the Gospel to them.

In this prayer set we focus on specific people then more broadly the community around us.  we pray for the Gospel to be preached and we pray for salvation.   

We also pray that God will send laborers into the harves and more so that he will make us effectie laborers in his harvest.  

We believe it is God's will and desire to save the World and we don't want to see anyone lost.

Praying for the Ability to Love God More

Scripture makes clear that our first duty - is to love god with all our hearts, mindes, soul and strength.   We also know their are lots of things that will contend for that like besetting sin, or even good stuff, like ministry.   This is a prayer where we examine ourseleves and our love for the one who first loved us.  We look for our weaknesses to ask for help from our Father.   At the end of our lives let it be said that we grew in our Love for God all the days of our lives.

Prayer to End Abortion

In the United States in 2014 there were approximately 954000 abortions according to Abort73.com.  That is down slightly from a few years earlier when it was slightly over a million abortions per year in the United States. Think about it every day over 2600 babies were losing their lives.   

According to the World Health Organization,   there are approximately 125000 abortions taking place every day or 40 million - 50 million abortions per year.  That is equivalent to the entire population of Argentina being wiped out in a year.

God's law is clear.  Abortion is murder and he hates it.  We are praying that God will step into our weakness and change the laws that allow abortion. Not that it will make the mother's or Doctor's righteous.  Only Jesus can do that.  But changes in the laws can save lives - babies' lives.

Then we pray for an awakening, so those mothers and Doctors will be convinced and saved.  Then they will have their hearts changed and this perverse practice will end.

Prayer for Help Loving Our Enemies

This election cycle in the United States has been one of the most vicious I have ever seen.  I am seeing brothers and sisters in Christ rising up against each other.  Worst than that, I have been caught up in it myself, which makes my response one that falls far short of what My Father in Heaven wants.  According to God's word, I am not to revile my enemies, but to love them.  This podcast is very personal and very hard as I am praying through my own failures and weaknesses as I try to grasp the ability to love my enemies.

Prayer for Israel

In the past few days UNESCO an arm of the United Nations has tried to say the Jewish people have nothing to do with the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.   They are working contrary to the Word and will of God.   They are doing something that is extremely dangerous.  They are challenging the very Word of God.   As believers we are to pray for Isreal and the Jewish people.   God has not ended his plans for Israel.  He still has plans for this people.   He will use them yet again in the last days.   For those who say they re chosen until they brought forth the Messiah,   The Word says God's covenant with them is everlasting.  God is not done with Israel and it is up to believers to pray for God's will to be done on Earth as it is in Heaven and that includes prayer for the Jewish people.  We pray for their safety, for blessings on them and their land.  we pray for their salvation that they will come to know the truth that Jesus is their Messiah.

Prayer for Greater Faith

We are told in scripture that without Faith it is impossible to please God.  Those who come to him must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him.  There are many brothers and sisters who have enough faith for salvation, but then that is as far as their faith goes.  They trust in themselves, in plans, in their strength for everything else.  They certainly are not living in mountain moving faith that Jesus describes in the Gospels.  

Did you know if you are not operating in faith you are sinning?   Did you know that faith gives us credit for righteousness.  Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him as righteousness. We believe, or trust in Jesus and that is accounted to our righteousness. 

The church needs to be the conveyor of God's power in the Earth today and that can only come by faith.   Scripture tells us that the Just shall live by faith?  Is that where you are?  We want to pray into this today because it is desperately needed in the church.
