Prayer for the Ability to Give Thanks in the Hard Times

In the United States this is Thanksgiving week.  If you are doing well, it may be easy to give Thanks?  But what if you are suffering, or you are in hard or difficult situation that you don't like or enjoy. The Word of God is clear.  We are still to Give thanks in that situation and even for that situation.  That is hard to do.   I submit that in our flesh that's not going to happen,.  It will take a work of the Spirity.  But it isdoable or we would not have been told to Give thatks for all things and In all things.   This prayer session is to help us get our mind focused on the long view - on eternity and what God is doing even in the tough times.   We ask the Holu Spirt for help and wisdom so we can truly give Thanks for difficulties knowing that God is at work and he has a great plan for us.  We may not see it until eternity, but we will see it becaus he is faithful.
